Swallow’s nest castle yalta, built in 1912 on the edge of Aurora Cliff, The Swallow’s Nest Castle « ласточкино » was designed by the Russian architect Leonid Sherwood. Its Neo-Ghotic design made of it the most popular visitor attractions in Crimea; moreover it’s the symbol of Crimea’s southern coastline. The original design of The Swallow’s Nest Castle is composed of a large nice entrance, two lovely bedrooms on two separate levels within the tower.
There is a guestroom decorated with wooden panels. The walls of the rest of the rooms are stuccoed and well painted. The building is built of stone like a medieval knight’s castle. It is 12 meters high, 20 m (66 ft) long and 10 m (33 ft) wide. The Swallow’s Nest crucial status was featured in many films such as Soviet-Polish children’s film “Mister Blot’s Academy” as well as in “MIO in the Land of Faraway”; a shared production by Swedish, Norwegian, and Soviet film companies.
